PV Prices Trend (Dec 27, 2023): Divergence in P and N Products

Silicon

The prices of different silicons begin to diverge this week. The mainstream concluded price of the mono recharge polysilicon is RMB 59/kg, the mainstream concluded price of the mono dense polysilicon is RMB 57/kg, and the price of N-type polysilicon is RMB 64/kg.

The demand for P-type silicon has accelerated to shrink, continuing its downward trend from last week; while the demand for N -type silicon is growing steadily. Although the silicon manufacturers has increased the proportion of their N-type polysilicon output, there is still a gap between supply and demand.

Wafer

The prices of silicon wafers diverge this week, too. The mainstream concluded price of the P-type M10 silicon wafer is RMB 1.90/piece; the mainstream concluded price of the P-type G12 is RMB 3.00/piece; the mainstream concluded price of the N-type M10 silicon wafer is RMB 2.25/piece;

As the demand for P-type wafer gradually shrinks, the upstream silicon factories are changing their product structure. Despite of a high inventory level, of which N-type wafer accounts for a large proportion, the price of N-type wafer can still be stable due to high demand.

Cell

The prices of cells diverge this week, too. The mainstream concluded price of the M10 cell is RMB 0.37/W, the mainstream concluded price of the G12 cell is RMB 0.38/W, and the mainstream concluded price of M10 mono TOPCON cell is RMB 0.46/W.

The output of N-type cells is currently relatively stable. There are still some manufacturers speeding up with the installation and commissioning of the equipment for N-type cells to strive to release the output as soon as possible.

Module

The mainstream concluded price of 182 single-sided mono PERC module is RMB 0.98/W, 210 single-sided mono PERC module RMB 1.00/w, 182 double-sided mono PERC module RMB 1.00/w, 210 double-sided mono PERC module RMB 1.01/w.
